Day 01 Colombo:
Welcome on board, at Colombo international airport. Meet our tour representative who will escort you to the cab to be driven to the hotel. Colombo the capital of Srilanka and is located on the west coast of the island. The name Colombo means ‘Port on the river Kelani’ and the name Colombo was first introduced by the Portuguese. This city is home to a majority of the Srilanka’s corporate office and entertainment venues. Check in hotel and later on move out for the local tour. Visit the Fort, Slave Island, Mount Lavinia – the famous beach, National Museum, Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara – the famous Buddhist temple, Dehiwala Zoo, Wolvendaal Church – the oldest Dutch church, the famous Hindu temple, etc. Later on return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02 Colombo – Sigiriya:
Morning after breakfast, enjoy the drive to Sigiriya. It is a palace and a garden complex. The word literally means the Lion Rock and is one of the world heritage sites in Srilanka. It was earlier the palace of the king Kasyapa which is now one of the main tourist destinations in Srilanka. This complex consists of central rock, rising from 200 mts high. The most important feature of the complex is the lion staircase which leads to the palace garden on the summit. On reaching Sigiriya check in hotel and later on move out to climb up the rock. The lion staircase, the mirror wall, the largest water garden, the famous frescoes of the beautiful maidens, etc add to the beauty of this complex. Late in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03 Sigiriya – Kandy:
Morning after breakfast, drive to Kandy one of the major tourist destinations and also the cultural capital of Srilanka. The word Kandy literally means the Hill. The Kandy Perahara, the famous cultural parade that takes place sometime in the months of July and August attract a large number of tourists and is considered to be one of the most colourful processions in the world. On reaching Kandy check in hotel and later on move out for the local tour. Visit the Temple of the Tooth – one of the most sacred Buddhist temples, Embekke Temple – dedicated to Lord Katargama, Lankatilaka Temple, Knuckle mountains, Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Nath, Peradeniya Gardens, etc. Later on return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 04 Kandy – Pinnawela – Colombo:
Morning after breakfast, drive to Colombo and on the way visit Pinnawela – the famous elephant orphanage. It is the biggest herd of the captive elephants in the world, there are nearly 2000 elephants. The main intention of this orphanage is to feed, nurse and house the young elephants which have lost their mothers or being separated from their herd. Spend sometime here and later on drive to Colombo international airport to board your flight towards your onwards destination.
